NSDAP buckle, good or bad?

Both keepers are aluminum but the buckle by it self is a heavy zinc type metal. Your opinion greatly appreciated!!! Thanks.

Both the buckle and the keepers have obviously had a hard life, but I do like the sharpness of the detail on the buckle's obverse throughout. What I don't like is the apparent complete absence of any speck of the original gold wash on the buckle, as if the finish had never been applied. Even ground-dug relics usually have at least some indication of the original finish on them...somewhere in the crevices! But I don't see anything at all in the photos you have provided. Hopefully our colleagues with more experience will be able to give you a more thorough answer, and thanks for sharing your question.

Looks like an original ensemble IMO. The zinc alloy typically does not retain the gold washed finish as well as the aluminum parts.
