NSDAP Drum hanger - any good?

Hi,

I bought this item today - and I am a bit worried about - it doesn't have any marks .... does someone know items like this?

The political drum hangers are nearly always unmarked for some reason. This one looks like the eagle and the very top of the wreath have been ground down (compared to the rest of the wreath, which has relief detail). I don't see anything wrong with it, though--it looks original.

Do you really think it is ground down - for me it just looks pretty worn ... I attached a pretty blown up picture, maybe this will help. If not, I can post a makro shot once I am back home ...
