I just picked this up over the weekend from the son of a WW2 vet. It looks like a big political eagle, just wondering if it's for the sports shirt or what it's for and even if it's political. Any help is always appreciated.

On second review I have looked through my Hoheitszeichen book and it is not post or police but there are similar ones for the SA and NSDAP.
These are the only ones I can find with the eagle looking to the right as you view it with those dumpy wings
