Even though the Motor-SA was absorbed into the NSKK in 1934, the NSKK existed much earlier, with SA members holding NSKK membership as well. IMO, the helmet would be appropriate with either uniform, but it IS an early style, later replaced with the NSKK 2nd Pattern crash helmet. If it's intended for a Motor SA uniform, the 2nd pattern helmet would probably be too late.

          Thats from the Gottleib auction right?dont see too many with brown visor.Also love that pick of greatcoat with cuff and collar piping,never saw one like it!

              Helmet

              Nice ensemble Mr. Larson!! Either pattern crash helmet is OK for it, IMO. I'm not sure about the date of introduction of the 2nd Pattern NSKK Crash helmet, but Motor-SA, since they ceased to exist after 1934, probably wore the 1st Pattern - NSKK probably wore both.
