    While not a badge, I am posting this item here for viewing and comments. (If it should be elsewhere, Moderator, please let me know and it can be moved).

    What we have is a rather handsome membership card case or holder for a member of the National Socialist Womens' Organization or League. From research on this Forum, I understand this to have been an organization for political education of female leaders of the NSDAP.

    The case bears a beautifully-embossed representation of the organization badge on the front cover.

    I welcome any comments or feedback.

    Hi John, the NS-Frauenschaft was an organization all on it`s own. First officially recognized as such by the NSDAP in 1928, with the name first being Deutscher Frauenorden. (Same triangle badges as the later NSF) It was changed in October 1931 to the NSF, in order to incorporate and bring together the multitude of Frauen-organizations that had sprung up since the mid 20`s. (There were small round badges made for the NSF from October 1931 to mid 1932 that look similar to the NSDAP Membership badge, but these were never official, and not actually allowed to be bought worn by NSF members[*])
    An announcement in the Rvb on the 7th December 1931 by Büchner, tells that the Triangle badges are only to be purchased through the ZM`s and cost RM1,75.- each.

    What you have here, is the much later normal NSF Members card protective case. There were others in different colors as well. These that you show here, pop up on US sites all the time for around $125-150 each, which imho is way too much. I have one like yours, with the original members ID inside still, plus large members enamel badge i am selling for $125.- for the lot at the mo. Prices are relevant i guess, and depends on what the collector is willing to pay.
