Possibly the worst fake GPB & description EVER

    http://tigerpatterns.com/index.php?id=261&type=milTree

Oh my God !! LOOK at this terrible copy. Nothing so unusual about that but look at the dealers description ! What a load of Codswallop

    These are my favourite lines....

I took this to a gold smelter and had it tested and this satin smooth finish is original gold, unlike copies.
    AND
That was actually a stroke of luck that it came loose, as the reverse of the assemblies gives yet another guarantee of authenticity in the form of GES. GESCH cast into the enamel party disc's rear.
It is obvious that this piece is original, as the "hidden" clue would not have been a feature of any fake piece that was being made to be glued or affixed and then never seen again. Obviously, only on original pieces that were manufactured would have this information.

You have to give him credit for a good sales pitch and I'm sure that some new collector will fall for the pitch without doing his homework.

He certainly sounds convincing in his argument if you knew '0' about the subject. Amused me

That seller has been selling snake oil for years.

That listing has not changed since early November 2010.

You're so right, Jon: the seller has taken the art of "BS" to new heights...or is it depths...?!?!

You know, I pried the enameled plaques off of a few of my GPBs, and not one had the 'Ges Gesch' on the back of the plate. Do you think they're fakes?

I hate to break it to him, but the enamelled disc is hollow-backed on real ones.

                That is one ugly badge.

Chip off all the enameling, maybe it's under that. Only then can we be sure
