i think its one of those pices that are so seldom seen people just dont know what to say about them, does make you wonder why there are so few of these around same as the golden leaders sports badge docs.

I imagine items such as this would have been quickly destroyed following the war's end, given the schools' close ties with AH and the NS regime.

youre probably right toby, but you would still expect more than the odd one to have survived, after all look how many kids passed through these schools

Not that many apparently Stu. Garry said that approx. 200 per year graduated from the schools. I think he said there were 10 in total, so roughly 20 per school, per year.

Not so many HJ collectors here on this forum Toby. It's a great addition to your personal collection. I've only seen one other up for sale and that was some time ago. As said not many of them survived I'd imagine.

I'm very surprised with the use of what seems to be the NS-STUDENTENBUND symbolic (eagle) on a AHS member document instead of the HJ symbolic (the boy is only 15). Do someone have another AHS document showing the same ?
