Another month went by and the offering is still up. Maybe CG is ready to negotiate ?

He has some room to negotiate. It was fun doing the research after locating that badge. But there are interesting stories in many of them that perhaps don't have the pizazz of a RL's chief of staff, but still tell a story of the war.

Willy Kőhler # 98085 was a meat packer before the rise to power. He was of the Alter Garde and somehow became an Orts level PL.

But he was accused by a neighbor woman with husband away at the front of sexual advances after using his political position to gain entry to her house on the evening of January 14, 1941. The Kreisleiter expelled him from the NSDAP on January 24, 1941. Kőhler appealed this decision on January 28, 1941 and his case went to trial before the Kreisgericht (District Court). On April 1, 1941, the Kreisgericht found him guilty but because of is position as a Gold Party Badge holder, the Kreisleiter’s decision was reversed and Kőhler was sentenced to three years probation from the party and required to return his Gold Party badges and Besitzurkunde for this time.


The badges were returned to him on November 22, 1944 but with a replacement Besitzurkunde as the original had been lost in a fire. Unfortunately no photo of him like I found for Schmeer.
