I picked this up in a bag of stuff this weekend, i think its for the hat or a collar tab.Can i get some info on whether its real and a value?Thanks for any help i can get.

I think there was a discussion about these RZM 24 marked stars a few years ago, but I don't remember that anything was concluded about them. I've got one of these that is unmarked on the reverse--good or bad I don't know.
I'll see if I can locate the old thread.

Erich: Speaking in a vaccum myself, with respect to my knowledge about the previous discussion, I can observe only that the degrading of the finish on this piece is complex enough to suggest possible originality, as does the color of the gold. Thoughts?
