    Hitler plaque

I was doing a little sorting and cleaning in the basement tonight and ran onto this plaque. I really don't know the significance of it. I was offered about $25 or $30 for it fairly recently......I might sell it, but would like to know something about it, and a reasonable fair value for it before I decide. What can, or will, you tell me about it?

I am not sure this is the correct place to post it, but it seemed like it might be.....move it if I got it wrong.

    Thanks,
    Ron

Nice plaque commemorating the Sudetenland rejoining with Germany.
What is the overall size? It's got to be worth more than that!

Oh....it isn't a recent find........I got it in Germany around 35 or so years ago, and didn't pay anything near $25 to $30 for it. That price is what someone was offering me for it in the past couple of months.

          Erich,

The measurements are the width from outside edge to the opposing outside edge of the wood frame is 10 1/2 inches and the height from outside edge to outside edge is 12 7/8 inches. The label and the medallion with the image appear to be riveted to a silver colored brushed tin like metal. I can't, of course, see the back of the "rivets" to tell for sure what they are because the back is well sealed and I do not want to take off the original back. The frame is wood with a black finish.....worn in a couple of spots.

You don't need to open it--it's a very neat piece that is obviously original. I would expect this to be listed on a dealer's site at $125.00.
            All the best,

Thanks Erich. My son saw it for the first time the other day.....when I dug it out....he may want to keep it, but I do appreciate the "ball park" figure in case he decides otherwise.
