Opinions on Gorget

Looking for help with a gorget I found. It is the same style as the one pictured but has no chain. On the reverse is what looks to be green felt and one of the tabs where the chain would attach on the back is marked RZM M1/122 ( i could not make out the last number very well due to the wear on the tab ) RZM logo is the circular type. Priced @ $500. Any help so I don't waste my money would be appreciated.

The chains don't come cheap if you locate one.

Number is probably M1/128? A picture of the one you are looking to buy would help us help you. Complete chains with all the links in good condition with only two on the end marked, tuft to find. Partial ones do turn up from time to time.

Based on the feedback from eveyone, I think i'll go purchase it this weekend. I'll post pics of the actual piece once I have it. I definitely would like to get a chain but would like it to have the proper # of links and correct RZM markings.

It was not unusual that the gorget and chain to have different RZM markings.

Opinions on Gorget

How can opinions be given on an item that he has no pictures posted of ? He said the one he was looking to buy was similar to the picture that he posted.I have seen many posts blasted because of poor pictures.Did I miss something?

OK guys here it is. Let me know your thoughts. Sorry I could not get better pics of the RZM markings, I took a magnifying glass with me and it definitely says M1/128. Hope it was a wise investment!
