DAO Question(s)

Hello all,

I am a complete novice on the DAO, and I appreciate your help.

Was Godet the only maker?

I am looking at these two examples. They are both described by the seller as "typical Godet" types, but they seem a bit different to me. The sword hilts, the suspension, and the method of attachment for the swords all seem slightly different.

Can someone tell me which is a Godet please? Or are both accepted as Godet types? Are both good?

I dont like either one of them.Godet is the only maker of the DOA,noone else made these.looks like you could rub the gold enamel off with your finger!Sorry not for me.

Trevor, IMHO both pieces are good and the design is definately Godet's. Check the eagles eyes, they should form a perfect circle. The odd patina of the cross is probably due to storage.
