Two Eagles

Gentlemen,

I came across this eagle on the right (with the red-maroon background).
I'm wondering if its a good piece. Doesnt' conform to known examples i've observed.
The swastika is extruded, rather than embossed and the head and body has different details.
It also has a slightly wider vertical pin setup and a shorter wingspan.

A variation or a new reproduction?

Any thoughts or opinions?

Extruded swastica

Hi There, I acctually have an Assmann with the raised swastica, like the one on the right in your photo. I also would like to have seen the reverse of the pin in question. The one I am looking at has a large "A" done in the Assmann style and Ges. Gesch. accross the top of the "A". Hope that helps. I also noticed the background on the raised one is black unlike the one in your photo. Just a thought. Tim
