    A few veterans org. Items

Here are a few from my collection. Some I have had for a while some I just picked up. Can anyone tell me the ranks, etc.. of the armbands? I hope you all like them.

Very nice Terry it is not often you get to see the Veteran stuff on forums.

Especially like the NSKOV Gau-Munchen armband

        Thanks for showing

          Terry,
          Ranks are as follows:
          1. Plain ones - member NSRKB and member Kyffhäuserbund (pre-Nazi period)
          2. Gold stripe - Kriegerkameradschaftsführer, NSRKB
          3. Silver Stripe - Mitglied des Beirats, Kyffhäuserbund, Nazi period
          4. Silver Stripe with pink chevron - Mitglied des Beirats, Kyffhäuserbund, Nazi period, Fechtwarte (Fencing instructor/observer)
These are relatively commonly found armbands. It's the ones that have more than one stripe and wide stripes that are very difficult to locate. The NSKOV armband that you have is a nice gold version for the more senior and/or section leaders and is a rarer/more expensive piece although nine out of ten times that I come across a gold bullion NSKOV armband, it is the Gau München-Oberbayern version. The others that I've come across I've always only ever seen that one time. Nice collection. Good luck, Chris

            pagannz,
Thanks for the kind words. I like them too.

            dastardly,
Thanks for the info. The NSKOV one is the first one like that I have run accross myself. I got it at an antique store that had picked up a small amount of GI and TR items. It was under $100 so I went for it as I thought it was unique. Does the RKB armband with the two pips mean anything our did the GI add those?

            Yours,

              Terry,
IMO, those pips were added and are not part of any official NSRKB regulations which is why I had said it is just an NSRKB member armband. You did well on the NSKOV armband. The normal silver bullion ones go from $150 to just over $200 and the gold bullion ones (which rarely ever come on the market) go upwards of $300. Again, best of luck to you with your collection. Chris

                  Nice bands

The fencing Armband is really something I think I have found something new to collect, the search begins.

                  Congrats on the score.
