    NSKK drivers sleeve badge

    I think the metal device is probably OK, but the glue around the edges on the back is not a good sign, IMO. Whether on collar tabs or insignia like this, the liquid painted onto the buckrum not only made it stiff, but served as the adhesive agent as well, so it was done in one step - when the stiffening liquid was tacky - I believe they used a type of boar-fat or other organic compound - same as used by furniture manufacturers of that period. Possible it's just smeared, but looks more like glue. Just my opinion.

      Hi , Thank you for opinion , the white spots around the edges on the back is not a glue , it's was only a dust . I hope this picture is a litle better

        Glue is bad - Dust is good. I've seen that kind of buckrum on original SA collar tabs - that's why I was surprised to see what looked like glue. Looks fine to me now!!
