Good one,it s an SA wehrmannschaft armband,dont let anyone tell ya its a SA-sports armband its not.Nice one with nice tag,tag is textbook..Proper 6 digits,common purple stamped maker number,main color for SA rzm tags{blue} and design, correct tax letter B{or difficulty of manufacture},all the way it should be.

And my geuss is that the armbands for them were made but never used. There are plenty of them in untouched condition. Like those things very much and have also a specimen.

The Wikipedia explanation was correct, except that I believe they trained ALL men between the ages of 18 and 65. They also provided personnel for Home Guard Anti-aircraft and Auxilliary Police units. NOTE: The Wehrmannschaften were supposed to wear the standard SA armband (Period photos prove this), and the Wehrmannschaften armband you have was theoretically relegated to wear with civilian clothing, as I understand.
