    Nice olympic brooch...marked DRP

I recently bought this brooch. Do you know if this was produced for the 1936 olympics?

It is marked DRP, wich i guess stands for "Deutsches Reich Patent". Anyone knows during which years this term was used?

That term was introduced around the last quarter of the 19th century. I am guessing it refers to the Catch system and not to the actual design or Brooch.

Yes, I suspected it could have something to do with the construction of the catch, but I was not sure.

          thanks

            is this official?

it looks as a regular pin that has not been "cut-out" the basematerial were it was stamped in?

              Hello

The size of the olympic rings on the brooch and the rings on the classic olympic pin is the same. However I do not think the brooch is an unfinished pin. The base material is to thin on the brooch.
