    Hitler bust

    Hi,

I got this one witha whol ebunch of DAF papers. It is made of plaster (at least I think so)
I am not a real buff on thes ethings, so I wanted to see what you guys have to say. I know, one pic isn't enough and I will make more tomorrow.
However, on the first look, what's the verdict?

No maker signature or anything like that.

    Thanks and best regards,
    Os.

    Hi,

In my opinion it is a postwar piece. The quality is just too low.Look at the swastika and the eagle. This was for sure not accepted in the third reich.

    but just my two cents,

    Etienne

I tend to agree with Etienne, though I must add that, from the one photo you've provided, the likeness to Hitler is of better quality than some I've seen that were produced during the Third Reich! Thanks for sharing this,

Thanks fro your opinions! I took a few more photos and I have to say that I think this could be a period item.
There is some inscription under one arm, not very well visible but it could be a name.

Anyway, maybe I could get some more opinions. I'd also like to ask what a fair price would be for this bust.

        Thanks and best regards,
        Os.

Inferior details may indicate it's not genuine.

I have to agree with der-hase-fee: according to the (lack of) details I'm quite sure it's a post-war cast.

IMO this is a postwar piece, seen many similar or same designs sold
