Thanks everyone for contributing to our little Birthday bash on this 9th of Nov. 2010.

Rob, always great to see your fantastic BO and it's history!
Max, a complete Political award grouping, and I really like your 1st type Coburg Badge, which has an indirect connection to the events of 9.November 1923 IMO.

      Great Topic -

First came the Beerhall Putsch and then the yearly parades -

            Thanks, Erich.

It's one of the nicer pieces in my collection, and due to the fact that it belonged to a SS officer with such a low SS number - not to mention I have two period photos of it in wear - it's also one of my favorites. I'm still looking for a cased second pattern and another first pattern with the original issue possession Ausweis but Jon Fish keeps snatching them up

Nothing can compare to one of these for history, design and desirability.
Rather poignant that today, November 9th , I wired payment for my latest first pattern purchase.

Lovely grouping and a cracking looking Blutorden Jim. Have you replaced the ribbon though?
