Looking at the pictures some more, I find an enamel chip in the red, below "AL" of national. That's a condition issue, IMO.

Haven't counted, Ron, but maybe a fifth of how many John P. has.

            Nice looking original.

The flat-top 3 is only a problem if they aren't rotor engraved. Look for little swirls in the numbers. All fakes I have seen with the flat-top 3 has the numbers stamped.

Was fortunate enough to wander through a crowded SOS hall in 2006 or so and ended up
standing in front of a man seated in front of a small yet sturdy Glass Case Packed to the Hilt
              with Original Golden Party Badges!!!
I mean they were almost "pouring" out of this case - falling over each other to be viewed in
all their 100% -Real Deal - GPB Glory!

Whoa! There were dozens and dozens and dozens -

Fire gilded Deschlers and Fuesses shining in their Goldenes Splendour!

All at one time, in my own personal gaze....I have yet to nor probably ever will forget that
moment. - The proprietor, of course...

              John Pepera

a sublime experience to be sure.

Had it been someone else it would have been hard to belive, but with John... He told Wittman he had 154(!) at the SOS. Mindboggeling.

I think John was collecting these badges before anyone knew their significance. A sight to behold!

Okay, then he hasn't added or sold off any in a while, I believe. I have heard "154" a while ago. What a sight that must be !!!
