Fake first pattern NSKK insignia ...

Didn't know that these first pattern NSKK crash helmet insignias existed.
Does anyone have a good insignia for comparison?

    Thanks,
    Mil

Does anyone know if these first pattern pieces were ever marked or had any markings?

      Thanks,
      Mil

This one is RZM marked. And 17 Assmann. A little hard to see.

              Mike,

I was hoping for your input and you did - many thanks!

I dont like the above piece that i posted and the reverse rings many bells.
Im also surprised to know that these first patterns already had the RZM marks.

                Eujin,
Here's a photo from the re-printed Assmann catalog. The feathers are the same, and all three birds are identical from the front. I'm not sure if the round pins are right, but IMO it's a good Assmann bird. I'll bet there's an RZM mark and #17 under what looks like paint or patina.

                Regards, Mike

                  Mike,

Thank you for posting the scan.
Was this particular insignia only made by the Assmann firm?

                    Eujin,

I think not. Doing a search on several NSKK crash helmets, the breast feathers are more uniform on some.

                    Regards, Mike
