    SA Gruppe Structure

QUESTION: In 1934, both Mitte and Sudwest wore Orange-Yellow collar tabs. With the SA regulation changes of 1941, Elbe and Neckar now wore Orange-Yellow tabs. Similarly, in 1934, Hilfswerk Nordwest wore Red-brown. After 1938, Alpenland wore Red-brown. Since the litzen remained the same on these tabs, does that mean that these Gruppes merely changed their names, or are these new names of completely different Gruppes from different areas entirely?

According to the SA regulation sheets, the existing groups were renamed, while some were expanded into additional groups due to the geographic and membership/administration size.

Thanks, Erich. I DID find a Gruppe map in the Halcomb book, but I believe there are errors. Book is called "The SA-A Historical Perspective". She lists Ostmark as Tannenberg and lists Oder as Ostland. I think she has them reversed?
