    Lifesize Adolf Hitler Bust

    Posting pics for a friend of mine that is the owner of this bust.
    Any info are much appriciated ! Who is the artist, is it original etc.

        Hitler Bust by Liebermann

        It certainly appears to be original. A closer look for a foundry mark might be productive. Ferdinand Liebermann (1883-1941) was a noted German artist and sculptor who served the Third Reich. He is referred to in "Art of the Third Reich" by Peter Adam (published 1995) and examples of his work are available on the Internet both at Germania International -- where further comments on his career and output are made -- and Third Reich in Ruins. Also, a Google search of his name should provide further biographical background.

        A life-sized bust such as this was probably displayed at a local or regional NSDAP headquarters, at an SA or other political organization office, or similar public offices or buildings.

          My friend bought this piece In a antique store in Stockholm appeox 20 years ago.
          What would be a reasonable value of this piece on today's market ??

            I agree with Br. James, a very nice original. As far as value, there has been one on estand for awhile in the 1200.00 range. IMO, yours would be between 1200-1500 USD.

              I forgot to mention that most life size busts are on marble bases. Yours looks like wood? Could have been replaced?
