I apologize to Don since he has been so affected by my opinion, because he lives in a world where everyone is PC and nothing bad ever happens.
On a nother note,Ron I too am very happy you got your medal back, and if I brought any further doubt to whether you medal would come back to you I'm sorry. But indeed the story was fishyand I'm sure you had your own doubts.
This kind of thread gives one a sense that there are still some "good guys" out there ,and to see collectors work together as a team to help one another helps re-affirm my faith in human beings , and the brotherhood of militaria collectors (kudos). It gives me a good feeling to know the stolen ribbon bar is home again, and now maybe we can set some hidden camera traps set at shows to catch these rats for the next time that someone thinks they can steal blatenly at dealer tables, and we also can watch each others backs and catch the increasingly bold thieves so next time they will NOT get away with it. I think the e medals guy is stand up, but I cannot understand how anyone could forget , so maybe we should leave it at that, and focus on surveillancing all shows with spotters and cameras, and so as a warning to the creeps who enjoy stealing for the thrill of it, I would say...it is time to stop, as you are going to need to leave the hobby after you get caught for good at shows from here on in the future, because we will post you names and photos for all to know who you are ,when you are stupid enough to think you will not get get caught. congratulations .
I have dealt with emedals.ca for years, and while no seller is perfect, I find Barry and his staff to be excellent. Just my opinion. He took a bath on this but did the right thing.
Once upon a time.......
Don does your mind go beyond happy endings? We will never know if Barry was guilty or not, just because he returned it doesnt make him honest. Why would I apologize to him?,we will never REALLY know if he was either guilty and worried he would end up ousted like juoneen said,or just plain felt guilty and returned it.
Sure he may not have known that a medal he JUST got like 2 weeks ago was from 2 years ago or not?yeah right.Does he have a memory disorder?
If so all pologies in order.but I still don't believe the story.A dealer like that either way doesnt want to end up looking bad.
I'm sorry ,Im happy Ron got the medal back, but apologizing to someone I dont even know,a potential scheister,is not in order. If you think for one minute this all went on the up and up,you are a fool Don.
How could you NOT remember when and who you got a medal from a week ago?Unless Barry has temporary amnesia,or voluntary amnesia.Dont give me that you cant remember what you buy bit, this was a VERY short time ago,and teh medal isnt a tinny, its a easy to remember medal to me.

A fool I may be but you come across as a petty little man, angry at the world. So be it, you are just another middle aged internet troll. Have a happy life, whatever is left of it.
The odds of an intelligent person knowingly listing for sale a stolen item are about nil. That's a bad situation to be in as a seller and the odds are pretty slim the dealer had knowledge.
I feel this good situation is deteriorating into a bad experience getting worse.
My objective was to reinforce the good networking of our collecting community, instead this is revealing everything that is not positive about internet comments IMO.
