    Collar Tabs - Freikorps?

Dark green almost black badgecloth material. Standard buckram backing.

I'm interested in these but would very much like an ID if possible before I get them. Was told they were possibly Freikorps or Stahlhelm but I've been unable to find anything like them.

    Any ideas?

    Thanx in advance, Rick C.

Hello, nice tabs, I like them for their look!

They are not "Der Stahlhelm"or Freikorps for sure.
(these groups have my interests and your tabs aren't in any of my books or other info I obtained the last 10+ years)

Can't tell you what they are, could also be from a civil shooting or musicians club. Still they are "lookers"! Please post a photo of the back if you have.
If not too expensive go for it, always interesting to have these little research projects!

Freikorps would be my guess . . .

There were hundreds of different units and all wore their own insignia. Most has never been properly cataloged.

Although officially disbanded 1922 many units continued on as old kamerades associations, etc. Some of this informal groups may have existed until all veterans groups were amalgamated by the NS Regime in 1935.

They could also be for a ranking member of a Rifle club. Band us is unlikely, but possible.

This configuration also exists in an Apple Green / gold colour combination.

SGStandard was kind enough to link me to this site: http://members.fortunecity.com/milit/stahlhelm.htm wherein the "stahlhelm bund" is spoken of. (thanx)

The photo below looks pretty damn similar as does the tab over at Collector's Guild: http://www.germanmilitaria.com/Polit...s/N051460.html

A photo sent to me, apparently sold on German ebay a good while ago:

            Stahlhelm

An acquaintance of mine had a Stahlhelm uniform with the green armband, and it was VERY IMPRESSIVE.
