    Hi Erich,

Thanks for your input. You're right about the plain tuch shoulderstraps wich were introduced in 1939. My problem though is still that they have to be worn by all the others? Who are all the others?

The shoulderboards described in II/2 are the second pattern shoulderboards with 'Waffenfarbe' underlay. They talk about Schulterstuck rather than Schulterklappen, and the description is clear enough. In fact the shoulderboard pictured at pag. 209 of Cloth Insignia with the two pips is a Wehrmannschaften shoulderboard.

Collar tabs for enlisted men and NCO were piped in yellow or white artificial silk, Sturmführer and above piped in silver or gold.

The unit designation is in flatstich instead of 'Körbelstickung'.

      Hello Laurens,
The 'all others' would be any Wehrmänner who were not leaders or leader-Anwärter in the Wehrmannschaft.

Item at home nice original SA-Wehrmann "Bergrock" ,

Wehrmann Shoulderstraps organic to the tunic, pink collar tabs restored, one can see traces of the removed pair, but nevertheless a nice tunic !
(where today do you find original period sewn on insignia ?)

Hi Erich, I'm afraid it's a bit more complicated. The shoulderboards discussed at II/a) are for SA-men who are in the Wehrmannschaft, and Führer of the Wehrmannschaft.

II/b) SA-Führer-Anwärter= Indication (Bezeichnung) still under discussion.
              I think this SA-Führer-Anwärter isn't a normal SA-Anwärter , but more likely a Nachwuchsführer.

II/c) All the others= Still a question to me.

              Best Laurens

Is it possible to see an image of the white ink/paint stamp seen in the interior shot of the tunic..or is that the trousers? I have a SA trouser that has one of these but the ink/paint is gone to time and would like to understand what this should look like.

                thanks for your help!
