Why do you see pink (probably Ostmark) SA collar tabs that have a BLANK UNIT tab? I read that very early SA collar tabs were all blank at one time. But the only blank SA unit tabs I have ever seen were pink. Anyone know why?
I've seen sets with blank red tabs, and I believe some other color tabs. Mainly Leaders' sets. Also in period photos, although I don't recall whether or not the SA Groups were determinable in black and white images.
