    SA Help

    Hi folks,

I wondered if anybody could assist. I have a J.A. Henckels SA dagger with the dagger group wf on the crossguard (Westfalen?)

Stamped into the grip in capital letters is the name A.E. TIBBITTS I'm trying to find out if that was the original SA Man or maybe the name of a collector. Any help would be much appreciated.
    Sincerely,
    Steve

      Dagger

      Wf - Westfalen is correct.

My guess would be that the GI who brought the dagger back may have stamped his name into the piece--Tibbetts is not a name commonly found in Germany.

I agree with Erich. Can't imagine a German with this name.

Both of you may be right ... but think of "Maurice" for example ... not a common German name either

Photos of the inscription would be good
