Hello folks. Since there doesn't seem to be a category for this piece, I thought I'd toss it up here on the political forum as I'm assuming it was probably designed for use w/ a political organization (SA, perhaps?) Anyway, this just walked into my shop yesterday and was originally purchased out of an estate sale a number of years ago and until yesterday was a fruit bowl for the wife of the man who brought it to me. From its size (appx. 7 inches tall and 9 1/2 inches across), I'm assuming its for soup or stew, etc. The detailed lions-head handles show a bit of wear to the glaze on the high points but they're very detailed and free of damage. The bowl is nicely marked on the bottom to the Heinrich Porcelain Co. in Selb and is dated 1938. If anyone has any possible idea as to which organization might've utilized such an item I'd appreciate hearing from you. Thanks!
