    Landjahr (ausweis)

I bought a grouping of a soldier with some documents of his future wife.
One of them was a Landjahr Ausweis.

Can anyone tell me what that ausweis is? And what is the Landjahr?
When i do a search i see many HJ/BDM stuff coming up, is it an organisation within the HJ/BDM ?

The nice thing about this ausweis is that its made on 1st April 1945 in Potsdam (Berlin), Russians on their doorstep!
She was in a Landjahr lager from 14-04-1944 till 04-04-1945 or something.
I'm collecting anything related to the towns Castricum and Bakkum during WWII.
Also soldbucher from 116pzdiv. And 1944-1945 eastfront pockets, kampfgruppe and Oder front.

histclo contains many, many errors/suppositions to be honest. I can recommend the forum in my signature for in-depth info/specifics on the Landjahr.

It's a multi-page Landjahr booklet which contained the person's details, reports, courses attended etc whilst on Landjahr duty. It will have a year on the outside front cover. Landjahr leaders usually had a hardback ID booklet. The Landjahr (Landdienst) was a programme designed to stem and counter the population flow from the land into the cities caused by industrialisation.

It has no year on the cover.
