Nothing wrong with engraved AH presentation GPBs - and his one looks like a classic example. It's a good guess that they were extra or replacement badges ordered after the initial award of an impressed date badge.

Sorry if my website was unclear.

While I have seen documentation regarding replacement orders of numbered GPB's, I've never come across any related to dated GPB's. Anyone got an example ?

Here is one of the documents:

It reads that the return 2 GBP's with stud-fittings is confirmed and 2 GBP's with pins are now enclosed which have the engraving "A.H. 30.1.43."
