what do you think of this matched pair- they appear to have some age to them. Legit or made in Pakistan?

I don't like them. Besides, shouldn't they have 2 acorns? I've seen some non-standard early ones, but I don't think these are them.

Agree, most of the early variants are of better quality than these. The overall appearance of the reverses is not bad, but the leaves and acorns don't look like any pre-45 examples I've seen.

Seems like forgery's, agree with the others. Originals seems to be in higher quality.

Acorns

The construction of the acorns is opposite of the normal way. The top of the acorn should have strands that are applied vertically. The bottom strands are normally applied horizontally.
