Very nice, Gerdan! I wasn't aware that the Propaganda Ministry Building had survived the war in as intact a condition as these photos prove it did! It appears to have been in as pristine a condition as the Air Ministry Building. Is the Propaganda Ministry Building still as it was in 1988, when those photos were taken?

There is a video recording from inside the bunker, made by DDR officials before demolishing the komplex. It shows some of the interesting artwork on the walls, rusting beds, some furniture and at least one lonely steelhelmet forgotten on the floor.

Dont know if they took any of these items out, before destruction.

Saw this film footage on swedish TV several years ago. Anyone know if you can find it on the net?

In the After the Battle Berlin then and now book they show a rusty helmet and a menu found in the bunker during the opening in the 80's. What's most interesting about the menu is a written notation "Eva salat".

Thanks for this link, great pictures! I did not know the bunker became that "exposed" and open for all to see (from afar, that is) during the late 80's

Bodenfunde auf dem Gelände der ehemaligen Neuen Reichskanzlei
Korrodierte Eisenkerne, die Zargen überwiegend gut erhalten. 30 Exemplare auf einer Tafel montiert, zwei weitere Exemplare (eines davon zerlegt) mit Bandabschnitten auf weiterer Tafel montiert (Nie 7.03.11).
Bei Arbeiten auf dem Bunkergelände der Reichskanzlei im Mai 1990 wurde eine größere Menge von Eisernen Kreuzen 1939 2. Klasse ausgegraben. Dazu eine kleine Fotodokumentation über die Fundumstände.

To his eternal credit he played the crucial part in de-bunking the 'Mengele' Passport that Gottlieb was pushing to anyone who would listen.
