    Photograph identification

    Hey guys

Can anyone identify the men in the pictures. I'm not having any luck at all. Sorry about the red lines!

The first photo shows, I think, State Secretary Otto Meissner on an Italian visit.
Sorry, I don't know the Political Leaders in the second photo.

With the AO Raute on his sleeve, it looks to be the local Ausland Organisations leader. That is a great shot of Meissner wearing the full ribbon of Sts. Maurice and Lazarus.

It is not Meissner. The mysterious diplomat on the photo even doesn't resemble to him.

Admittedly, Meissner photos usually show him with glasses, but the hair style, the tight mouth and the chin are all very similar to Meissner's facial characteristics.
Can anyone positively tell from the decorations being worn?

I've just had another look at Hamilton's book, 'Leaders & Personalties' p317, in which Meissner is shown sitting at his desk. On the third finger of his right hand is a simple gold ring, worn high up near to his knuckle. The diplomat in the web picture has exactly the same style of ring, worn in the same manner.

I never found a photo of Otto Meissner without his glasses:

I agree-- definitely not Meissner. Face shape and features are completely different.

Thank you for the help everyone, I'm still digging around. Otto Meißner is a good call, but I'm still only 50/50

                      cheers Ad

I think the first photo shows Constantin von Neurath.

I can confirm that I don't agree as the diplomat on the photo is not von Neurath.
