SA Armband question

HI,

I received today this SA armband, all looks fine to me and it seems to be a unissued example.

But it still exhale a brand new cloth scent, it's normal to a 70 years old cloth piece?

There is another red flag in this armband?

White field and white thread don't glows under UV light, red cloth and red thread burns like cotton without synthetics elements.

Perfectly good. Maybe someone threw it in the dryer with a sheet of Fabreeze to get rid of a musty smell.
