    Forgot to mention...

interesting how the NS designs took the old Germanic style and simplified them. Similar to how Diebitsch streamlined his designs to make them more powerful.

Also interesting how these examples have the rolled feet similar to the allach leuchter style by Diebietsch.

That's an interesting book but it predates the TR by a few years.

It's called Dein Schicksal by Frodi Ingolfson Wehrmann. He has written some things for the Ariosophische Bibliothek too but they are harder to come across.

Went through my stored stuff today and thought this might be worth sharing - another official wrought iron celing lamp:

Typical official NS / SS style of the manufacturer - diameter is exactly 1 m.

Has been de-electrified and used as a candleholder when I picked it up - the craftmenship is second to none, needs some restoration (glasses are missing and upper part of the hanging) but certainly worth the effort.

                    Note the Ingrune decor.

                      .
looks decorative..but what do you mean by "official SS Style"

I wrote typical NS / SS style.

There were certain firms/manufacturies/entities in different areas of expertise either selected or found by the NS leaders to create and distribute via the craftmenship gathered and concentrated in these fields of activities a typical representative, germanic design and style.

That was mentioned in the period as Neue deutsche Baukunst = New german Architecture - and meant both a newly created and executed exterieur and interieur concept of artistic expression in arts and crafts, design and way of creating and providing it.

It was an important part of NS ideology itself, it was judged to be an important part of the Reich and it was organized and handled that way: a totalitarian concept and way of life - within the SS already even a new religion!

All in all: It was the official statesmanship of the Drittes Reich.

Meanwhile we collectors and historians know about Allach in the area of porcelain and ceramics as one of these manufacturies - but there were more.

And this lamp is a product of another specialized manufactury and official provider within the period and therefore an example of the area of representative illumination.

I would agree NS style because as your per your book, where it clearly states that they were proud to show all the different groups they did lighting fixtures for, promoting their ties to the military and showing off their displays. Doesn't automatically indicate SS style.

no official SS Style nor NS Style!! IMO correct would be a "Item in the old nordic, germanic tradition style" that became a popular design again in the Period of the National Socialism and also after 1945

we have a few mediaeval or Middle Age Restaurants locally here..they use much of this Iron wrought Items..like candle holders, Lamps etc etc as decoration for the restaurants...I should speak to their managers next time and tell them they probably are unaware that they use official SS/NS Style Items in their restaurants..
