NSDAP Armband - Real - Fake? opinions please

Hello,

I bought this armband approximately 4 or so years ago and its been kept safe for a while, but it has always bugged me for some reason.

I bought it from a woman that told me a doctor who went to Germany during or before the war, it was her grandfather got it during his visit and kept it in a envelope ever since, he died and at the end I bought it from her. So the armband was new - and never used in any form kept in this man's envelope.

Do i have a textbook relic? or was I ripped off 4 years ago? I would like to know your expert opinion please.

You cant really see it - but inside the circle you can see the extra edges under a light - Not sure if thats ok or not.

I would venture to say that the response was positive. I agree - the excess material was merely where it was folded under before sewing. Beautiful mint example!!
