Here's one of the pieces out of the 11th Infantry Div. souvenir lot I acquired yesterday. First time I've ever come across an NSDAP badge in this configuration. It measures 7/8 of an inch in diameter and has a strange "L" shaped backing. It's marked "Gesetzlich Gesch. Zeugmeisterei Oesterr." Is this simply an Austrian variation or an extremely early example (or BOTH?). Either way, it's not one I've ever seen before. It's in overall good shape w/ a bit of crazing and a small chip to the enamel but otherwise in un-touched, un-cleaned condition, just as it came out of the shoebox w/ the other items in my previous thread in the Wehrmacht uniforms & insignia forum. Appreciate your comments!
