Bann 648 Thorn (HJ-Gebiet 37 Danzig-Westpreußen). As Stu says, the Bann existed from 1940. The red stripe denoted a war volunteer. I'd put the price somewhere around 100 Euros.
They do look a little odd with the pip so high up but the straps themselves look to be fine. I'd personally need to see more detailed photos as it wouldn't be a difficult job of course to 'upgrade' a set of straps to turn them into a pair for a war volunteer Kameradschaftsführer.Last edited by Garry M.; 04-27-2010, 01:37 PM.

Straps appear to be cut down slightly, possibly for smaller shoulders. Pips don't really match, they look older than the rest of the straps.
As for the Kriegsfreiwillige, the regulation cording was introduced in July 1944 when Axmann proclaimed 1944 as the "year of the war volunteers". The official size is listed at 2.0mm wide red twisted cord.
The red ribbon of 1.0cm width is not an "official" issue item but was mentioned in orders from the Oberkommando der Luftwaffe on July 19th 1944.
Many thousands of these were handed out during the last years of the war.
As for value, 9 bids and 5 bidders with 5 days to go, these will probably sell for a higher price than they are worth.
