Hello! Does this drummer wear SA uniform? If the 83 indicates SA standarte what was home city for this unit?

As far as I know the SA Standarte 83 came from Kassel

Gruppe Donau was established on 1 June 1938. So if this man came from Gmünd rather than Kassel, he would have worn a second pattern eagle on his cap.

Laurens-thanks for pointing that out. I didn't notice that the tabs were piped. I'll have to check through regulations to see if there was a proper reason for the piping at this rank/position!
