    NSFK Oberführer shirt

    NSFK Oberführer shirt;
    Opinions of the members of this forum would be appreciated,
    Espacially about the positioning of the breast eagle over the top of the pocket.
    Thanks

              I must ask, does this tunic come from Norway?

              A friend of mine was recently trying to buy a NSFK Oberführer shirt.

                Is this the one from the Hermann Historika auction? It was described as having original tabs but reproduction shoulderboard and Icarus insignia. I'm not so sure about the tabs, either.

                  Thank you for this first comments but,
                  not at all,
                  It cames from an old French collection and,
                  I just want to check some points before buying it...

                    The positioning is fine on breast exactly right.Hanging over pocket. Also of note there is no such thing as a "special"NSFK brownshirt, they are all SA /NSDAP brownshirts with NSFK insignia. One mamber states here that on some tunics and brownshirts teh upper icarus is machined sewn and teh lower "flap" where it meets teh pocket handsewn. But this is not always the case,Ive seen several correct period examples hand sewn only,or in this case machine sewn only, but the reference was made to tunics, and ones of a later date.

                      I cant figure it out Ive seen every version now,Icarus patch on sleeve with 1 and 2 shoulderboards, and Icarus patch on breast with one or 2 shoulderboards how can this be!!!!Im talking about tunics here
                      .Ok say the patch was moved to the sleeve wartime, after teh change was made to wearing 2 boards instead of 1 board on the tunic. Now how can a period tunic exist with the Icarus patch on the sleeve with 1 board again??I dont know but they do!!!Ive seen good period stuff and photos showing ALL 4 configurations!!
                      Think about it !!!I can understand not switching teh patch over but to have the later version on teh sleeve with only one shoulder board is strange, especially after there are tunics with breast icarus and 2 boards!!
                      Ive even heard both stories now how teh patch started on sleeve then went to breast or vice versa, but to have both configurations with both configurations of boards dosnt make sense to me.
                      I just odered teh Angolia/littlejohn book, maybe it can help. But if the patch went from breast to sleeve, then a single strapped tunic with a sleeve icarus is wrong, although there is a period unissued one at Relic Hunter, and Mike H here has an untouched NSFK with breast icarus and 2 straps!!How can those exist, one must be wrong.

                        I had it in hand, and IMO it's a fine original "NSFK Oberführer" service shirt !
                        as said by Welwels, Icarus is on the right place for me too !
