Sa kepi. Help needed please!

I purchased this Kepi from an auction not long ago.

Could anyone tell me the rough date this Kepi would have been used?

It is originally a Pink, but has been coloured Black (period I think)
Could anyone tell me why this might have been done???

Also a rough price to put on it would be fantastic!

I'm sorry to say I don't believe this is an original piece. The fabrics look wrong, reinforcement on the interior is odd, colored band wool extending down to outside the sweatband is very strange, top lining with seams is something I've never seen in an original, chinstrap is fake, eagle is fake, visor is incorrectly attached and is at the wrong angle. I hope it's just the photographs.

Sorry? but you posted the thread stating youve just bought it not that you had just sold it, why would you want to know anything about this kepi AFTER you sold it?
Also the seller on Ebay is from Victoria Australia, and so are you.

I agree--he's dumping it on Ebay after it was outed as a repro....
