Looks fine to me--It may have been for a plaque rather than for a radiator, and it looks like nice quality, correct finish, good amount of age, etc.

Thank you Erich, I quite like the look of it as well.
The member Allan has also asked me to post the HJ foreigners badge.

Erich is quite right. A plaque eagle. While we're on the subject, a lot of people assume that these large NSKK eagles are taken from car radiator's. I have never believed this. I have yet to see a period photo of a staff car or any vehicle with one of these on it. (I've seen many cars with a Mercedes radiator emblem.) If someone can produce a photo, please do, I'd love to be proven wrong. The fender pole eagle and pennant are the only metal emblems that I've seen on NSKK vehicles.

              Regards, Mike

I used to have one that was still on the radiator cap, it was more 2 sided, and could have been from a desk ornament as well I know, but it was on that cap and on a car for while as the inside screw was pretty corroded. Sadly one cold WI winter day I was coming back from a show and it slid off the box in slow motion..

Thanks for the photo Tom. I'm a believer now. It didn't occur to me that the eagle might be attached to the grill. And Jerry says he had one attached to a radiator cap. I stand corrected. I love this website...I'm always learning. Thanks guys.

                    Regards, Mike
