    Help with SA hanger pics

Ok about to trade this hanger for my hanger because leather matches my setup BUT I noticd a problem, its obvious the hanger is period as well as the loop but it looks like someone hopped up the leather loop with a bogus DRGM stamp as its spelled drMg instead of drGm.Do you guys confirm my opinion? It looks ok but with a bogus stamp correct? The clip stamp is fine as well as teh wear and all pieces matching so thats a good sign,I doubt teh stamp is period done, and the letters are all individually stamped, anyone seen this before or is it definately a post war stamp to bring up value?Just want to be sure of teh hangers legitimacy teh stamp itself doesnt bother me either way, some thoughts? Please from people who know their stuff not just educated guesses! Thanks Nick.

I'm no daggerman, but I would expect RZM rather than D.R.G.M, as it was an party branch of the NSDAP.

Yes but this is an early one, there are many nonmarked ones and PLENTY of DRGM marked clips on legit hangers actually most are.Just want to know from a dagger guy if its period with a bogus stamp,as i believe it is.

According to my knowledge there were 3 production periods of daggers and related accouterments:

early ... not marked at all
        mid ... marked with DRGM
        late ... marked with RZM

I donĀ“t like the stamp on the leather either

Another thing ... if you would post your pics one below the other instead of side by side, it may be more convenient to read your posts

I think people have missed your original point - it does say "DRMG" instead of "DRGM". I'd guess that part is an after-market addition.

Yes my original point was lost somewhere!
Oh and ivbaust you forgot OLC marked clips!Definately early on,got one on my 1st luft too.
This is my early unmarked leather and olc marked clip 3piecer that i considered trading for above since the leather doesnt match my belt/crossstrap well becauese most early leather was more reddish brown than dark brown, although both types were used right on through the SA.Anyway I think I had a brainfart because this is mint as they come nickel hardware supple leather no smell to it and like new,but still has the period feel to it.It came from, an early minty Tiger.IM KEEPING MINE!Ill live with teh color difference as I thought about it,If SA man kept his old dagger and hanger right on through, his belt/crossstrap may not have matched at different periods anyway!
