Just got this shield shaped patch with a red army like eagle with swaz in the center in white with a black border. Klein is stamped in the upper right corner of the excess material. Having trouble posting a picture. Anyone seen anything like this? Got a clue what it is? HJ? Studentenbund? Army? Never seen one. Doug

I have one like it and have seen a similar for "Thüringen". Must have something to do with merit in sports for students at high schools.

Yeah, not really High Schools but higher

Kind of was looking for some HJ take over time frame or or studentenbund thing or something like that. These are so rare I can't believe it. Glad that you saw a different one as well. I'm thinking that these were only used for a little while like 34-38 or something like that. I have absolutely no information only a guess.

Is yours the same size? Looking for the Klein stamp. I'm thinking that this one goes on the old school jacket/letterman sweater/jacket pocket and the Gross one goes on the Sport Shirt. Here again just a guess.

Mine are 11x8,5 cm (black border) and has no stamp on it. I have no specific knowledge of these, but don't think they come i different sizes. I have perhaps seen 6 or 8 over the years - Berlin and Thüringen together - and they all looked the some size.

Studentenbund had their own Eagle, so this has IMO nothing to do with that organization. I am thinking more of a technical high school - maschine operators and the like.

Never seen one before. Been collecting this stuff for 47 years. Something I have never seen before interests me. Just the "Klein" stamp seems to suggest that there may be other sizes. Doug
