Official Metal Party Seal For German Art?

Here is a small metal emblem I recently found. I believe it was part of an orfficial seal that might have gone on German artwork. It measures 1 1/4 inches wide. I believe it is made out of zinc or some similar metal.
The words on it are as follows:

"ausgestellt im haus der deutschen kunst"

I translated it with babelfish and this is what I got.

"issued in the house of the German art"

Let me know what you think.

If an artist had had the chance to exhibit one of his art works (paintings, sculptures,...) in the annual (till 1944) exhibition of the "Haus der Deutschen Kunst" (München) for him it was a great honour.

So his objects from the exhibition got a certificate (and a seal) to show the special value of the art work.

The seal/leading you show us should have been from such an object from the 1942 exhibition.

Just for the sake of clarity, allow me to add that the word "ausgestellt" can mean both "issued" and "displayed/exhibited". In this case, it is the latter.
