This is a Gau Danzig commemorative badge.Instituted by Albert Forster in 1939.In 'For Fuhrer and Fatherland'vol;2 it is described as 32mm wide and 40mm high,silver in colour.The pin on the back is the same style as you would get on a party membership badge.

Well if thats what the seller wants,go for it even as a copy it would be worth it.Detail wise it looks the same in F&Fvol;2.
I think if original this is quite a scarce badge,though I would'nt like to confirm it from just that photo.

I typed in gau danzig badge on this forum and quite a few threads on this badge,photo's of examples with different pin fittings than the piece shown in F&Fvol;2,hope this helps.

The Gau Danzig badge is different from the one shown. The one shown could be that produced in Germany. Some consider it only a Day badge. Having said that there are originals, together with post war copys. It should be in zink with a silver was.
