Question on NSKK Helmet Please

Goodday fellow collectors, I've a quick question about the color of the helmets the NSKK used. I want to put together a reproduction one using a converted Spanish one I've had kicking around for years.
In Angolias book on the NSKK/NSFK it states that the helmet was an Olive Green is this correct? Or did they mean Apple Green? I was thinking of doing a Tan over spray on Feild Gray.
Any help would be great.

A lot of this NSKK - M35/40 or M40 helmets were LW or WH reissued helmets...
but if you need a green one use the M40 kind of fielgrey paint...
