Help from SA collectors would be appreciated

I am trying to establish the presence of the earliest dated period photograph or even a dated Personal Ausweis, that clearly shows the traditional SA box buckle in wear.

Quite simply and ignoring all the reference works, I am trying to pin down the year when the buckle was first worn.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Regards,

    David

    Buckle

There are many photos of SA men without shoulderboards wearing the SA "box" bucke, so you can be sure they were used prior to May 1933. I found a lot of really early photos of a box buckle being used. However, it is impossible to ascertain whether they are wearing an SA buckle or a WWI buckle. This will be a problem until you find a good closeup. Good luck!!

Many thanks for the good luck wishes.

This quest is obviously more difficult from what I had originally anticipated.

It is the mid to late 1920's period which perhaps holds the elusive key.
