I have to state once more how extremely impressed I am over this US Bund material. Over the years, I have (as previously noted) been fortunate enough not only to obtain material from the most notable Canadian Fascist (Ardrien Arcand), but also a handful of impossibly scarce material from the Canadian Nazi Party.

If you look closely at the Bund material shown here, 98% of it is of unquestionable high quailty and manufacture. This "quality" is one of the unique characteristics of Bund material, especially true of US, Canadian and English Bund / Blackshirt manufactured items.

Obtaining this ultra rare Bund material is a far, far cry, from clicking on the "Buy it Now" button as you would for that rusty EK II. Considering the rarity of this material, a collection of this magnitude, both in quality and quantity, is a major accomplishment (and truly mind boggling).

    Well, well done....

      Hello Hundestaffel,

Could you please post a few pictures of your Adrien Arcand and your Canadian Nazi Party collection? A part of Canadian history I would like to know more about. Much appreciated, thanks.

While the ring is a really nice looking piece it is not authentic... The other pieces are probably rarer than many SS items,,some great stuff!

Could you please state you reasons for this ??? I have seen a couple of such rings marked "Apollo", one of which (along with the member's US Bund ID) very recently came out of the family estate of a deceased US Bund member. I had the good fortune to personaly examine this ring myself, and what looked to be very authentic ageing and natural wear aside, the quality of the materials (.800 Silver) and manufacture was close to flawless. You could very well be correct with your statement, but a better explanation of your claim (backed by solid proof / provenance) would be appreciated.

In all probability, there is indeed (like everything else, unfortunately) a combination of real and post-war such US Bund rings circulating out there. This specific US Bund ring design is actually the only such design that I have ever encountetred (not saying that there were not more such designs) and if they are indeed of post-war manufacture, then I'm sure they were copied from original, US Bund approved and manufactured designs (rings of which are unquestionably still out there). I just can't see many ex-Bund members in their mid-sixties sending their $15.95 to Delta International (or wherever) in 1973 for such a ring to remind them of the "Good Old Days" (but I could indeed be very wrong about this).... and if this is indeed the case, then maybe this (partially) explains the background of the above US Bund estate ring I mentioned (and other such US Bund rings found in ex-US Bund members estates)....

Last SOS show I spent an hour or so with the guy writng the book about the Bund. He had his manuscript there for anyone to check out and some of the pieces that are in this thread..

I told him my interest in rings. He showed me the ring from this thread.. Almost immediatly I recignized the work. I asked him if the ring came from the other sources and it didn't. Then a dealer walked by and said helo to him etc. when he left I asked if the ring came from him,,it did.

Sure enough the exact ring is for sale right now on his site. And, I'm sure he has many mutiples of it.. I'd be surprised if that ring is even 15 years old..

Like I said Gaspare, there is in all probability a combination of real and post-war US Bund rings in circulation.

Reproductions (of anything) are, for the most part (minus "Biker Fantasy Crap"), current copies that try to closely mimick original period produced designs. The sales of post-war manufactured SS Officer rings does not negate the fact that original SS Officer rings were period produced. The same logic applies to US Bund rings.

Also, the (family estate) US Bund rings that I had the good fortune to handle in person, were (as noted) of extremely high quality. One ring was solid (not plated) .800 Silver (to include the emblem which was set within a black onyx background), clearly not "Biker Junk" and manufactured of quality materials that definitely would not be cost-effect to the faker.

At the end of the day, various factors have to be weighed against each other for a realistic conclusion when determining the originality of these rings, but the fact of the matter is that original, period US Bund rings were unquestionably produced.

I'm not saying they were not produced. I'm saying the ring shown here is a product from that dealer.. If you like it great , enjoy it...

Is it know if any Ehrenkreuze für Frontkämpfer / Kriegsteilnehmer (Hindenburg Cross) where awarded to members of the Bund?
Because I know that germans living abroad could also get the Hindenburg Cross e.g. this man in africa: http://www.duelken.de/Geschichte/Per...stertz_EKF.jpg

An award document given out in NY or elsewhere in the USA would be amazing!

I saw one for $80 last week issued out of the Consulate in New York in 1935.

I agree: it looks like the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago to me, too, and as OFW stated, the banner shown is a great piece. But having said that, I don't think it is a banner of the German-American Bund, per se, and the uniforms shown are not those of the Bund's version of the SA. There were other Nazi-style groups prior to the Bund here in the USA, and still others that existed independently from the Bund but at the same time. This photo needs further research, IMO.

Cheers, and thanks for sharing this!

An odd place to pose for a photograph. One must wonder if this was proceeding a rally of some form being held at Soldier Field, which is right behind the museum.
